Sammie, a short haired gray and white tuxie, came to our rescue as a single orphan on July 3, 2025, at maybe a day old, so we are calling her birthday July 1. She weighed well under 100 grams but almost doubled her weight the first week. She loves her bottle and is transitioning well to kitten food. And she especially loves belly rubs. If there was ever a kitten born to be a snuggler, it’s Sammie. But Sammie was lonely in the incubator, so we were looking for companions. We took in Tammie, a beautiful longer haired gray female, and her two sisters to be incubator buddies for Sammie. They came to our rescue on July 11, 2025, from the Lancaster SPCA. Sadly, their mom had been killed by a dog. They were about a week old when we got them, so we will call their birthday July 4, 2025. Two of the sisters, Trixie and Pixie, are almost identical tuxies and are adopted together. Sammie and Tammie have been playmates since they shared an incubator. As far as they are concerned, they are siblings. We are accepting adoption applications for both but will give preference to an adopter who will keep them together. You are guaranteed a bonded pair. And although we strongly prefer that they be adopted together, we will consider applications for them separately to a home with another cat or with a cat-friendly dog. To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me. If you are considering adopting, please fill out and submit the adoption contract found in The Adoption Process link on my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com). In the meantime, you can follow their journey on Facebook: Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3). Our nominal adoption fee covers FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and spay/neuter with a partner clinic.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sammie & Tammie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
