My story

Gretta may be in her golden years, but her heart is as full as ever, and she`s ready to share it with someone special.At 9 years old and 91 pounds, Gretta is a big, beautiful girl who’s lived a life full of stories, though we may never know them all. Found as a stray, she arrived at the shelter a little worn but still incredibly warm and gentle with people. She greets every visitor with a soft tail wag and the kind of soulful eyes that say, “I’m so glad you’re here.”Gretta loves human companionship and thrives on simple things: a slow walk, a kind voice, a soft bed, and someone to love. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t ask for much but gives so much in return.While she gets along great with people, Gretta does best as the only female dog in the home. She may be open to a mellow male dog companion, but she’d be just as happy soaking up all the attention herself.Gretta’s story is one of resilience, hope, and quiet strength.
