Baker got his name from the biscuits that he makes with his paws whenever he is petted. He doesn't stop kneading! He absolutely loves affection from the people in his inner circle. It takes a little patience to get on his "trusted people" list, but he's getting braver every day. He lived outside in Brooklyn for years, being fed by a woman that he would visit through her fire escape. She reached out to a cat rescue organization when he developed an eye infection that made it hard for him to see. Baker was brought into foster care and ended up having one eye (and a few teeth) removed. He's back to health and ready for adoption to a quiet home where he can continue to enjoy the good life indoors. He is being fostered with two other cats and is very compatible with them -- he's gentle and submissive. He is afraid of dogs and would likely hide from small kids. Baker would love to find a home with someone who will take it slow and offer his favorite treats as they're getting to know him (he's very food motivated!). He is about 6 years old and is neutered, microchipped, and up to date with vaccines.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Baker, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
