My story

Name: PeachAge: 3 yearsGender: FemaleBreed: Mixed Breed – Portuguese Podenco/TerrierColor: Cream Health & Wellness Spayed Vaccinated Heartworm Negative Personality & Behavior Good with Dogs: Yes Resource Guarding: No Barking/Noisy: No Good with Kids: Yes, best with older children Good with Cats: No Shedding: Moderate – regular brushing recommended Energy Level: Low Training & Adaptability Leash-Trained: Yes Good in the Car: Yes Potty-Trained: Yes – was clean and well-mannered in her previous foster homeNote: A consistent daily routine is important for maintaining good potty habits. Crate-Trained: Yes When Alone:Currently lives in an open facility with other dogs, where she enjoys companionship but also seeks out quiet spots for herself. She values personal space and knows how to relax in a shared environment. Note: In a new home, dogs should not be left alone for more than 4–6 hours at a time, especially at first. Providing a comfortable space with toys and necessities helps them feel secure. Sleeping Arrangements:Sleeps peacefully in her designated area at the facility, surrounded by other dogs. She also enjoys the comfort of a blanket in a cozy home setting. Temperament Peach is as charming as her name—sweet, gentle, and quietly confident. She has a unique blend of intelligence, independence, and warmth. Initially a bit shy, she quickly shows her affectionate, playful side once she feels secure. Peach prefers calm environments and is generally low-key, balanced, and graceful thanks to her slim, athletic build. She enjoys peaceful companionship but is also happy to join in light outdoor adventures. Ideal Home Peach would be an excellent companion for someone who appreciates calm, affectionate dogs. She would do well: In a family with older children As a second dog alongside a friendly companion In an apartment or home, as long as she has a consistent daily routine She is loving, adaptable, and ready to become a cherished member of a home where she can relax, bond, and feel safe. Rescue Story Peach appears to have once lived in a home, but she was found wandering in a low-income area of Guadalajara where many dogs are abandoned. Her behavior suggested she was unfamiliar with street life. A rescue partner took her in, determined to find her the safe, loving home she deserves. Location: Mexico (waiting for a 10-day trial commitment)Adoption Fee: $600Apply at: www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2489873##
