My story

Webster is a two-year-old, 9-pound Chihuahua mix who’s looking for someone special to help him write the next chapter of his life. When he arrived at the Maricopa County shelter, he was overwhelmed and scared. The shelter reached out to us because we’ve had success helping other shy little dogs find their confidence, and we believe Webster has the same potential to blossom. At first, Webster can be reactive, but patience pays off. Once he feels safe, he’s happy to curl up in your lap, soaking in gentle pets and quiet companionship. He’s already making progress. Our staff can pick him up and handle him without trouble, and he’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Webster’s ideal home will be calm, loving, and understanding, with someone who will celebrate small victories and encourage him every step of the way. With time and kindness, he’s sure to become a devoted little friend. Webster’s adoption fee of $250 includes neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
