My story

Hi, I’m Opal – Your Future Couch Co-Pilot, professional lounger, part-time therapist, full-time judge of humans. I’m a 5-year-old, spayed lady with a personality as smooth as my name. People call me very nice and laid back, which is polite-speak for “this cat is chill enough to hang out with sloths.” My hobbies include: -Lounging in sunbeams like it’s a competitive sport -Accepting head and chin scratches like the royalty I am -Blinking slowly at you to show my affection (and mild judgment) I’m the kind of cat who won’t knock your coffee off the counter just for fun… but I might move it slightly so you wonder if you put it there in the first place. Keeps life interesting. Adopt me, and you’ll have a calm, loving roommate who’s always down for a cuddle session—as long as you bring the scratches. This cat is available for adoption from Oceana County Animal Control. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this cat's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact persons in the order they are on the list. The adoption fee is $35 and you receive certificates for $25 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies if not already done.
