Attica

My story

DOB: April 6, 2021 Attica is a very vocal girl! She loves to talk to let you know how she's feeling, when moving around the house, or chatting back to you if you talk to her and/or make a kissing noise! Attica isn't overly food motivated and seems to do best with small amounts of wet food over the course of the day and/or with dry kibble left out for her. She can be an active cat who sometimes gets the zoomies in the early morning, but through the day will also often lie down sprawled out around the house. Attica likes to lie down all over the house and will often flip over upside down. When you go to bed, you will have company within a minute or two with Attica jumping up for a good night pat! She also loves to chase toys batting them around and scurrying after them! Attica is on a prescription urinary diet to prevent crystals. Attica is a good girl and likes to receive affection but on her terms as she can get defensive if she is touched on her side, belly, or paws or if she gets overstimulated. When she comes over to sit with you, though, she loves stroking on her back and head and the occasional chin rub. While not a lap cat, she is fine with being picked up. Attica has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. They don't require medication and can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats, as the virus is only passed to other cats by blood (i.e. deep bite marks) and can't be passed to dogs or humans. Please don't judge them based on a blood test!
