My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:3Yukon is a 2-year-old, 62-pound shepsky with the heart of an explorer and the soul of a gentle companion. Found as a stray, he's still learning the ropes, but with some tasty treats and patient encouragement, this sensitive boy is ready to blossom. Yukon has been thriving in doggy playgroups, enjoying fun chase games with his canine pals. He could be a great match with another friendly dog, or he could be happy as your one-and-only with the occasional playdate. Underneath his rugged good looks, Yukon is a softie who sticks close to his human friends once he feels safe. He’s been growing more confident each day and is already showing how sweet and easygoing he can be. While he's still working on his manners (sometimes he's a little mouthy in play), he’s proving to be a quick learner with positive reinforcement. Yukon would do best in an adult-only, dog-savvy home that can give him the space and time he needs to settle in and shine. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving sidekick for trail hikes, weekend road trips, and quiet nights in. If you're looking for a faithful adventure buddy, Yukon’s ready to ride shotgun.
