My story

Notes from previous shelter: Temple is a sweet, playful 3-year-old German Shepherd who is currently looking for a forever home where she can thrive and be a loyal companion. In the kennel, Temple remains loose and wiggly when approached. Temple shows a mix of curiosity and caution when interacting with other dogs. She is especially relaxed and friendly towards puppies, wiggling her tail and whining at them. In the play yard, Temple loves to explore and run around. Temple enjoys human interaction, often throwing her body against her handler's leg for pets and belly rubs. She is less interested in treats and toys but thrives on human companionship. Temple walks well on a leash, though she may pull slightly. Temple needs slow introductions with other dogs. She enters the yard with her tail tucked but will allow other dogs to sniff and interact with her after a few minutes. During an assessment with an unaltered male shepherd, Temple began to play bow, bark, and chomp at the air. Her body language was loose and wiggly, and both dogs engaged in play. Although she appeared unsure at times, she quickly resumed playing, showing no dog-to-dog concerns. Temple would do best in a home where she can receive plenty of love and attention. She will benefit from a family that can provide her with consistent training and socialization, especially around other dogs.
