My story

Meet Winston, a handsome ~1 year old neutered male Weimaraner/Poodle mix, currently weighing about 50 lbs! We think he is mostly done growing, although he might still fill out a bit.  This scruffy boy is friendly, good natured, and gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Winston is a young, energetic pup who enjoys wrestling with his doggo friends!  He would love to have another young dog to keep him company and to play with. He is a Velcro dog who loves to be near his people, and he does great in the car, so he’d be happy to join you on your adventures!  He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (he does great when on a consistent schedule), and crate trained. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
