My story

Meet Jinx – a charming, vocal, and affectionate girl who’s always ready to chat and snuggle! At 3 years old, Jinx is the perfect mix of playful and laid-back. She loves following her people around, calling out when she wants pets, and happily curling up in your lap for a nap.Jinx thrives in social settings and would do best in a home with a big family or other cats to keep her company. She adores her feline friends and will shower them with kisses and cuddles. She’s also a big fan of being picked up and snuggled – she`s all about that close contact.Though she has a low-energy vibe overall, Jinx still enjoys a good play session and will happily chase toys or explore with you. She`s the kind of cat who wants to be wherever you are – a true companion.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $250 for puppies under 6 months of age and $200 for dogs older than 6 months. $150 for kittens under 6 months of age and $125 for cats older than 6 months.
