My story

Sebastian was found wandering the streets on the evening of August 16th, 2025. His finder cared for him briefly before bringing him safely to the shelter. When he arrived, it was clear Sebastian had endured a rough time—he came in with multiple open and closed wounds across his body. Despite this, he has shown resilience and is ready to begin the next chapter of his life. Sebastian is a gentle, low-to-medium energy boy who enjoys exploring his surroundings, sniffing every interesting scent, and relaxing in peaceful spaces. He seems like he may be housebroken, is very food motivated, and has already shown progress in adapting to shelter life. With people, he is affectionate and sweet, and he is learning how to take treats more gently. Sebastian deserves a calm, loving home where he can heal and finally feel safe. He seems like he may be house broken and is very treat motivated! He was a bit snatchy with a treat when i held it between my fingers but was very gentle to take treats if I laid them out in my palm. He didn't react to another dog in the shelter hallways as I was taking him out of the building, and saw two dogs through the fence in the play yard. For both of those dogs, he was reactive (low growls, warning barks, some jumping) and running up and down along the fence. Sebastian has clearly had a rough life with the condition of his skin and his muted bark. He wants to sleep in a peaceful place and find a quiet home and people who will love him unconditionally. Numerous crusted circular lesions and ulcers on trunk, limbs, ears. Larger wounds on right hip, left axilla, and elbow. Plan included antibiotics, pain management, wound care with SSD, and recheck. 08/17/2025 – Tech Exam Noted wounds along back and legs, hair loss on ears, intact male, no lameness.
