My story

Hello! I am Maisy. I am a 6 year old cocker cavalier mix. Although everyone tells me how beautiful I am, I am not at all conceited! Before living in my current home, I lived in a home and had a few litters. That’s all I can say about that. I am curious but very cautious and shy. It takes me a few tries to adjust to new people and places. I’m afraid of children but would probably do well with the older (12 years+) calmer ones. Also, I get along well with other dogs, especially once I get to know them. I’ve been walking with a dog walker 2x a week for over a year now and I love my pack of big dogs! I am affectionate and playful. I love to snuggle and be close. The best place to sleep is your bed! Sometimes I watch TV and bark at the animals I see. Oh, and let me tell you, I am very food motivated. I love hanging out in the kitchen waiting for anything that might happen to fall on the floor! Of course my favorite toys dispense food. I’ll figure out any puzzle that has food in it! I’m smart that way! I didn’t always love riding in cars, but I do now. It’s better to be with you than home alone. I wouldn’t mind having a dog bestie. But I’m okay as a single dog, too. I do shed and need to be groomed about every 8 weeks. When my fur gets long, I get “grinch paws” and they get dirty and uncomfortable, so I like a short haircut. I’m silly and fun. I love to show you how much I love you by jumping and turning and giving some kisses.
