My story

Callie is a kind soul who`s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She’s new to the shelter and can be a bit timid when you first meet her — but don’t let that fool you! With a little time, some patience, and lots of treats (her favorite thing ever), Callie starts to show her sweet and affectionate side.This lovely girl lives for outdoor time. Whether she’s sniffing every inch of the yard or happily trotting along on walks, Callie is happiest when she’s outside, exploring the world at her own pace. Once she’s comfortable, she might even play with toys, especially if you’re someone she trusts.Callie’s ideal home is one that’s calm and understanding — a space where she can decompress and come out of her shell at her own pace. She’s looking for someone who values trust-building and is willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe. Once you’ve earned her trust, she turns into a total lovebug who gives the best face kisses and is always up for a cuddle session.We expect Callie will be an active dog, so she’ll need a home that can meet both her physical and emotional needs. Whether it`s long walks, enrichment activities, or playtime in the yard, she`s ready to be your outdoor adventure buddy.We’re still getting to know how Callie does with other dogs, so if you have a pup at home, we’d love to set up a meet and greet to see if they’re a good match. We have noticed that she shows some interest in birds and other small critters, so she may have a bit of a prey drive — something to keep in mind if you have small pets or frequent wildlife visitors.Callie is still figuring things out, but in the right home, her true personality will blossom.
