My story

Skippy is a 6-year-old Poodle mix with a heart full of love and a gentle soul. This sweet boy absolutely thrives on human attention—once he gets to know you, he’ll be jumping up to say hi and asking for pets every chance he gets!While he may be a little shy at first, it doesn’t take long for Skippy to warm up. Give him a few moments and a couple of sniffs, and he’ll be your new best friend. He’s also very easygoing around other dogs and would do well in a home with calm canine companions.Skippy came to us in rough shape—his coat was severely matted, so he’s currently shaved down. With regular grooming, his soft curls will grow back beautifully. Potential adopters should be prepared to keep up with his grooming needs to maintain healthy skin and coat.He’s still learning the ropes when it comes to leash walking and may need help with potty training too, so he’ll do best with someone patient who’s ready to guide him through these next steps in life.Skippy is ready for a fresh start with someone who can show him love, routine, and a little bit of guidance.
