My story

Meet Nefertiti: A Queen Ready for Her Kingdom 👑🐾 In her short life, 1 year old Nefertiti has known more hardship than most. Abandoned in a park with her tiny litter—alongside two other mama cats and their kittens—this young mama fought to survive. Malnourished, struggling with pneumonia and still trying to care for her babies, Nefertiti never gave up. Thankfully, a compassionate police officer found her and brought her to safety. From there, she spent time in a vet clinic recovering and then began to heal in a loving foster home, where she’s shown us just how much love and gentleness she has to give. Now, Nefertiti is healthy, strong and ready to find a forever home—one where she finally gets to be the one cared for. After giving her all to protect her kittens, she’s ready for someone to protect her. She’s already had one hero come to her rescue. Now, she’s waiting for her next hero—you. If you believe every queen deserves a castle and every survivor deserves a soft place to land, come meet Nefertiti. She’s ready to reign in your heart. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
