My story

Selma was surrendered for adoption along with her siblings: Myron, Troy, Pepper, Patty, and Emmanuel. While some of them have already found loving homes, Selma is still searching for a special person who understands that some of the sweetest cats are the ones who take a little extra time to bloom. 🌱 Of all her siblings, Selma is the shyest. But don't let that fool you because she loves to play with toys and wrestle with her brothers and sisters. She’s a sweetheart at heart and enjoys cuddles on her terms once she feels safe and comfortable. With a patient, loving adopter, her confidence will grow day by day. Selma would thrive in a calm home with another friendly feline companion, either one of her siblings or a resident cat. She’s used to having a buddy nearby and finds comfort in companionship. If adopted as a solo kitten, her future family should be prepared to go at her pace, offering gentle encouragement and lots of love. If you're the kind of person who understands the quiet magic of earning a shy cat’s trust and being rewarded with her affection, then Selma just might be your perfect match. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
