To adopt this cat from Black Cat Rescue, please fill out a profile https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston Loki and Thor are a sweet & very energetic bonded pair of 4 month old male kittens that must go home together. Here’s what their foster volunteer says about them: How would you describe the cat's general personality? They are an adorable bonded pair who love each other very much! Loki is generally more affectionate and calm than Thor. Thor is still learning that belly rubs are good things, while Loki mastered them a few weeks ago. Thor is harder to wrangle, and hold, but he's been very weirdly sweet and affectionate lately. I think he's finally learning its ok to be loved! Loki LOVES to be loved, and the love pours right back out of him. He never ever stops purring. They're very similar looking, we call them The Void Twins lol, but Loki has a bit more white on his belly, and a longer face. We joke that he looks like a little baboon, and Thor looks more like a flying bat haha. We also joke that they have exactly 1 functioning brain cell combined, and they often transfer it to each other they're hyper and fun and hilarious, and they are soo ready to play. Naps are nice too, but much more rare than play time. Does the cat enjoy being pet? They both do! Especially Loki, he's such a loverboy... Although both are normally very busy wrestling each other or simply zooming around the house. Once they chill out, they love affection! If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? Both love pets the most under their chins and around the neck area, their little ears, and Loki specifically lives for his belly rubs. Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? Thor isn't great with belly rubs yet, but we're learning! He will pull to a defensive position and begin batting at/nibbling on your hands, but it never hurts lol. Does the cat come on your lap? Sometimes they both will at once, but they are normally far too enamored with zooming around. Usually Loki does love to sit on a good lap by himself though, if Thor is busy wreaking havoc elsewhere. Does the cat like to be held? Loki is much more easy to be held, but still not the most submissive with it. Thor often tries to get himself out of your hands much faster & he gets more panicky than Loki does. I have been getting them used to being held though, and they are making great progress. Does the cat sleep in your bed? No, they sleep in a separate foster room. Does the cat seek your attention? They do often meow a lot and *loudly* for attention, mostly when they want food, or to zoom outside of their room. Does the cat like to play? They are both very, very playful. They will play with anything and anyone. Especially with each other! They're such good buddies. What are the cat's favorite games and toys? They both like to play with whatever they can get their lil kitty hands on, and they often mess with each other all around the cat towers and several tunnel playpens. They loooooove catnip too! How vocal is the cat? They both can be very vocal when they are hungry, or seeking attention. What kinds of sounds does the cat make? They like to meow as loudly as they can, which comes out very shrill and squeaky lol. Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Yes, they do like to use scratching posts quite a bit. Does the cat always use the litter box? If no, please explain. They have managed to wrestle so intensely overnight that I've found their litter box upside down TWICE, but otherwise, they are great about their litter habits. What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? Is the cat picky about food? They seem to be not picky at all, just very hungry. They are very voracious, growing little boys, and they're easily eating 3-5 cans a day, with free fed dry. What is the cat's favorite treat? Churus!! Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? Nope! Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? No never. Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? Barely, it is very soft and not even really biting and only during playtime (usually with Thor only) Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? Nope never. To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? Mostly startled at first but they seem like they aren't fearful of new people. They've enjoyed meeting our friends, and they love other animals. Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? They both seem to share a brain cell as I said above, they really are two peas in a pod. They're perfect twins with such weird & different little personalities. They're just so funny! I've loved watching their confidence and curiosity grow. In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? The amount of joy they bring whenever my partner comes home and sees them is indescribable. Bad days can't be that bad with these guys, because they're just so full of love and innocence. Ever when they’re a bit chaotic, or too rambunctious, you can't even get annoyed because they're so so sweet, and loving. What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? They can be overwhelming! They're definitely kitty Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum, and they love getting into things they shouldn't, and eating things they shouldn't, and messing with older cats they shouldn't... they like to test the limits in their tiny lives! But its all apart of the general kitten journey lol. They're soooo loving and grateful to be here with us. They really are just the best little guys.
