My story

Meet Snickers!This handsome guy was rescued from a Houston high-kill shelter, and now he’s ready to enjoy all the comforts of a forever home — a soft bed, tasty food, fun toys, and, most of all, a loving person to call his own.Snickers is an affectionate, fun-loving pup who gets along with just about everyone! He can be a little wary of men at first and may bark if he’s caught off guard, but he warms up quickly. Once he bonds, he becomes a loyal little shadow who just wants to be by your side.He isn’t just a cuddle bug — Snickers is also quite active! He loves going on walks, riding in the car, and playing with toys. He’ll happily keep up with an owner who enjoys staying busy and having a four-legged sidekick along for the ride.Snickers is still working on his house training and currently wears a belly band when his foster is at work. Neutering may help with his marking, and with patience and consistency, he’ll continue to improve. He also struggles with separation anxiety. While it has improved since arriving in foster care, he does still bark and cry when left alone. Because of this, he would do best in a home with someone who is retired, works from home, or can spend plenty of time with him.
