Please Niote: Lonnie is currently in a volunteer foster home and not at the shelter. Meet Lonnie – Our 6-Month-Old Shar Pei Pup!Yes, you read that right—Lonnie is a Shar Pei! At just 6 months old and weighing in at 25 pounds, this wrinkly-faced cutie is full of playful energy, curiosity, and puppy charm. Lonnie was found as a stray. Lonnie is a friendly boy who seems to really enjoy being around people. He’s a little rambunctious (as all good puppies are), and loves chewing on anything he can find—so puppy-proofing and chew toys are a must! Despite his playful antics, he’s also a big fan of snuggles and enjoys curling up in his bed at the end of the day. He loves being held and soaks up attention like a sponge.While Lonnie is off to a great start, he will still need help with basic obedience, leash training, and housetraining. He`s a smart pup who`s ready to learn with a patient and loving family. Compatibility with other dogs, cats, and children is currently unknown. A meet and greet with any resident canine is required. Shar Pei experience is required as this breed has unique traits and care needs. Lonnie is available through our Foster to Adopt Program, which means you can foster him in your home until his vetting is complete. His medical care will include neuter, vaccines, and a microchip.Ready to meet Lonnie?
