My story

Wylie is an 8-month-old, 43-pound pup who loves sniffing around the backyard near his person, chewing on toys, and eating TREATS. Wylie’s true love is food. New places, people, pets, and experiences can make him anxious at first, but once he learns they’re fun and safe, he’s ready to join the party. Walking is his favorite mode of transportation as he gets motion sick in the car. He’s been doing wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home and would love a home that understands his need for slow introductions as he builds confidence. His foster home does not have cats, so we’re not sure how he would do with them. He has, however, chased a squirrel or two in the backyard.Since Wylie loves to zoom around and jump up to give hugs, we recommend a home with older children who have experience with dogs, rather than infants or small children he could accidentally knock over.Wylie has never had an accident in his foster home and does well going to the bathroom outside. He prefers having his human nearby while he enjoys the backyard. Being a puppy, he still needs plenty of toys to keep him entertained and distracted. He has done well sleeping in a separate room inside a large enclosure at night and while his foster parents are away. He will likely do well in a crate, as he seems to enjoy having his own special place to relax and be cozy.Wylie is a sweet, handsome, and endearing boy who will enrich the lives of his new family. Just give him treats, time, patience, and plenty of love, and he’ll be your best friend for life.
