Noni

My story

Noni is a 5 month old mixed breed pup who currently weighs 16 pounds. She was run over by her owner and then subsequently abandoned at a vet clinic. We are helping the vet find a new home for Noni. Somehow, she had no broken bones and "just" a severe degloving injury to her left thigh. The vet office has been working incredibly hard at healing her up, and loving her, during the process!! Noni is crate trained and is trained to potty in a certain area in the clinic (she can't go outside because she isn't fully vaccinated yet and there's all kinds of viruses and bugs at the vet clinic where she's been living) She LOVES all people and cats but gets nervous around big or boisterous dogs. However, once she realizes they won't hurt her she will be their best friend! Noni is half heeler and half dauschund. She is active, playful and opinionated! We have not seen her be mouthy at all, but her breed make up needs to be kept in mind when considering adopting her, as both heelers and dachshunds can be particular. Noni loves toys and LOVES fetch! As such, she needs a yard with an active family. We met this girl when she was badly injured, terrified of everyone and just sad. She has blossomed into a happy, healthy and decently well adjusted girl and is definitely a clinic favorite. We will all be very sad to see her go, but she deserves the absolute best home and all the love she can get! Noni will likely weigh around 20 pounds as an adult. Perhaps a little more but we think she will be small as she isn't growing very quickly. About a pound in the last 4 weeks.
