My story

Meet Nene, a charming and affectionate male mini poodle/shih tzu mix weighing in approx 15lbs. This sweet guy is a young 7ish years old and has lots of love to give! He makes himself at home very quickly, is food motivated, and enjoys pats.  Nene is looking for a forever home where he can love and be loved. He is good with people, shy for about 10-15 min and then warms up well. He is good with other dogs but does bark with new dogs in the home/will need a couple days to settle in - has not been cat or kid tested yet.  Nene is housebroken. He is medically up to date and will be getting neutered prior to heading off on his new journey to a furever home. Accepting apps now! As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
