My story

~ Affectionate ~ Curious ~ Gentle ~ Playful ~ Snuggly I may not have eyes but I have a big heart! My name is Stevie the Wonder Cat and I am a very sweet boy. My foster Mom found me outside in February, 2025 but I was too scared to trust her and I ran from her. For 4 more months I lived outside in the trees and had to learn to find food and shelter always in the dark. I didn’t give up and somehow, I found my way back to my foster Mom’s house in June. She took me in that same day, wrapped in a small blue blanket. I didn’t meow. I wasn’t afraid. I fell asleep in the bed she gave me, and I understood that this time, it was real. That I’d never have to prove I deserved love again. My eyes may not look normal and I can still be a little clumsy—but they are perfect. Because they tell a story of resilience, an inspiration to everyone and I am living proof that a little bit of love goes such a very long way. Although I lost my eyes, I gained a family here at the rescue who absolutely adores me. I will never know what it's like to be hungry, scared, cold or lost again. I am the true definition of indomitable will. Today, I sleep peacefully, curled up against the fabric that now smells like peace, like safety, like love. I needed some guidance at first finding the litter boxes and learning to jump out because I was scared they were too high. I mastered the stairs and now run up and down them. I’ve been practicing my lap dives (with style!), purring up a storm, and also mastering the art of being the perfect snuggle buddy. I climb on my foster Mom’s bed with some kitty stairs she got for me and cozy up between her legs. I can see some movement with interactive cat toys and love to play with toys that make noise. I love chin scratches and belly rubs. I get along with my foster siblings and the other resident cats well but get a little shy if they try to play too hard with me since I can’t see to get away fast. I hope that you can “see” beyond what others call a “flaw” and give me a chance at a furever home.
