My story

Wiggly Miss Mabel believes that joy is a full-body sport! This 10-month-old mostly rat terrier mix is 15 lbs. of sweetness, wrapped in soft fur. When Mabel is happy (spoiler alert: that's most of the time), her tail wags so hard it brings her whole body along for the ride.    Mabel's hobbies include snuggling, leaning into your legs for pets, and quietly reminding you that she's the best coworker you'll ever have. Not the type to interrupt Zoom calls, she's a quiet girl. But when she wants cuddles, clear your calendar, because Mabel wants to be right there, in your lap or next to you, soaking up all your love.   Mabel has that delightful mix of curiosity and eagerness to please. She's already getting the hang of her crate (she'll go in willingly for a nap and sleep well overnight), but she's still learning the ropes of house-training. Like many young dogs, she'll need patience, consistency, and a sense of humor while she perfects her bathroom manners. She doesn't like to do her business on leash, so a fenced yard will facilitate her training. The good news? She's smart and wants to make you proud.   What makes Mabel extra special, though, is her love for people. She doesn't just like humans; she adores them. Whether you're her foster mom, the delivery driver, or the neighbor down the street, she'll greet you like an old friend. Because she's young, Mabel would love a family that can provide her with a balance of activity and downtime. She gets along swimmingly with other dogs (but is untested with cats) and would benefit from having a well-trained pup in her forever home to model her behavior after. She's not a wild child, but she's playful and curious. She'll enjoy walks, exploring the yard, or just following you around the house to make sure you're doing everything correctly.
