My story

Tonicity A17768940 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old -This beautiful babe will need someone patient and willing to work with her on leash walks. She’s very nervous and it seems to be a brand new concept for her.-Outside she slowly and cautiously explored the yard-She’s a very calm, to herself kind of girl-At one point she just laid down and relaxed-Then she flopped over for a belly rub…wiggling her whole body back and forth-She also likes being pet and her whole body quivers when you hit the right spot-She gives kisses too-She’s treat motivated, sits and takes them gently-Not currently playing or interested in toys-I saw very brief moments of her wanting to play-She definitely enjoys pets and attention but she’s not needy and is content to just be on her own as well-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
