My story

Remy is a 2-year-old, 4-pound male Chihuahua with a heart full of love—and maybe just a little bit of drama. He’s sweet, curious, and incredibly people-oriented. Remy doesn’t just like attention—he requires it. If you’re not holding him, be prepared for some heartfelt whining to remind you of your true priorities.This little guy is friendly with dogs and cats and isn`t the least bit intimidated by bigger animals. He loves exploring his surroundings, but more than anything, he wants to be in your arms—or at least within reach of his favorite humans. Remy is on a strict wet food diet (he takes his meals very seriously) and would thrive in a home that can keep up with his diva needs.Due to his delicate size and dramatic flair, Remy would do best in a home with older kids who can respect his boundaries and personality.If you`re looking for a pint-sized companion who will love you fiercely and demand your undivided attention, Remy might just be your perfect match.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months
