My story

Meet Magnus!Magnus is a male Black Lab who weighs a whopping 97 pounds—and every pound is packed with love, energy, and personality! Estimated to be around 2–3 years old, Magnus is the definition of a classic Lab: goofy, slobbery, overly friendly, and a total BFF in the making.He was found as a stray and, sadly, no one came to claim him—but that’s OK, because Magnus is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family who can handle all the joy (and muscle!) he brings.Magnus is not for the faint of heart—he’s a lovable bulldozer who doesn’t quite grasp the concept of personal space. His happiness is contagious, and he’s always thrilled to be around people. He has a medium to high energy level, loves to go on walks, play, and just hang out with his humans.Because of his size and strength, Magnus will need a strong handler who can help him learn boundaries and basic manners. He’s shown great potential with other dogs, but as always, a meet and greet is required if you have a resident dog. Compatibility with cats and children is unknown at this time.Magnus is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which means you can foster him in your home while he completes his vetting which includes neuter, microchip, heartworm testing, and updated vaccines.
