My story

Meet Sam! Thanks for Paws-ing to take a look at me! If you’ve already fallen in love with my photo, just wait until we meet in person—I’m even more lovable up close! I’m Sam, a 4-year-old, 25-pound pup who’s the perfect little house guest. I take treats oh-so-gently and will even lift my paw politely when I sit for one (my signature move!). I’ve quickly become a foster and shelter favorite, and now I’m ready to find my fur-ever family. I’ve had a bit of a RUFF start in life and can be very cautious around new people, but with a calm and patient home, I know I’ll blossom. I would do best with older, considerate children.  I’m working on house training, crate training, and leash manners, and I may even have it all down by the time we meet. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, and loyal companion, I’d love to meet you.
