My story

Ruby is a sweet and tenderhearted little dog who is about 3 years old and weighs 22 pounds. She does have a warm-up period when meeting new people. Once she knows you will be kind to her, she loves to get attention and affection. She was found starving on a rooftop. Coming from the environment she was in previously, it is apparent that she wasn’t handled very much so she just needs a few minutes to know that she is in a safe space. She gets along well with the other dogs here at the rescue. She would do best in a calm and patient home where she can get acclimated to her new surroundings and learn to trust. She is a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call her own! Ruby is located in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Geneva, IL on October 18th for Gotcha Day with approved application and confirmed adoption! She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost.
