My story

Cherry is a tenderhearted 2-year-old who weighs just 13 pounds. She’s a little shy at first, but once she knows you’re kind, her heart opens wide. She was rescued from a crack house and we are so glad she is safe here with us. She craves gentle affection and will blossom in a patient, calm home where she feels safe. Coming from a background where she likely wasn’t handled much, she just needs time and love to learn that she’s finally home. Cherry gets along well with other dogs in the shelter. Once she trusts you, she’s the sweetest little companion you could ask for. She would be a wonderful, loyal companion to grow up in just about any family environment. Cherry is located in Hondo, TX and available for transport to Geneva, Illinois on October 18th for Gotcha Day with approved application and confirmed adoption. Adoption fee is $450 including transport fee. Cherry is located in our rescue in Hondo, Texas. With treatment, Chagas is fully curable, and dogs go on to live long, happy lives. Tracy’s Paws is one of the first rescues to test every dog for Chagas, and we’ve had measurable success with our treatment protocol. We are also committed to educating adopters and the public about Chagas.
