Meet Petrie, A Gentle Soul with a Big HeartHello, my name is Petrie, and I’m a tiny black kitten with a quiet spirit and a big journey behind me.I was found by a kind stranger and brought to the shelter just in time. When I arrived, I wasn’t in the best shape—my small body was covered in fleas and scabs, and I didn’t feel well at all. Thankfully, the wonderful team here jumped into action, cleaning me up and giving me the medical care I so badly needed.At first, I was very scared. Everything was new, and I didn’t know who I could trust. But with patience and kindness, the staff here have helped me start to feel safe. They say I’m still a little shy and unsure of myself, but I’m trying hard to be brave. With soft voices and gentle encouragement, I’ve started to come forward in my kennel to say hello—and when you pick me up, I turn into a little purr machine.I may not be the boldest kitten in the room, but I have so much love to give. What I need now is a calm, understanding home where I can continue to grow in confidence and feel safe enough to let my personality shine. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted companion who just needs a little extra love to blossom, I might be the perfect match for you. Cats can live well over 12 years, and will need a lifetime of love, care, commitment, and patience. Before plunging into kitten parenthood, make sure to research! There are many rewards to caring for a kitten, but there are also many requirements. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial feline distemper combination vaccination- first deworming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)-24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption Fee: $120.00FELV/FIV testing offered for additional cost of $35.00. Highly encouraged for multi-cat households.
