My story

A volunteer writes: It may surprise you to learn that Popcorn's the happiest guy in the room. Found in a carrier outside an apartment, a Good Samaritan waited with Popcorn to see if anyone would claim him and when no one did, they brought him to us. I can just picture Popcorn's little face looking around full of hope saying his family would be there for him any minute now. They weren't, but he simply sees the best in everyone and everything. Popcorn knows that things change and not always for the best, but it's best to believe they will. He graciously pops out of a nap when he sees a friend and bounces to the front ready to climb out onto the lap of anyone who will have him.
