Meet Cheetarah: Proof that the universe sometimes overachieves. She’s got the fluff of a Build-A-Bear, the curiosity of Dora the Explorer, and the cuddle game of a weighted blanket that has a boost of serotonin in the form of puppy breath and kisses. One minute she’s adventuring like she’s auditioning for National Geographic, the next she’s glued to your side like you’re the human equivalent of Netflix and snacks. Basically, she’s a walking contradiction—in the cutest, fuzziest, most snuggle-demanding way possible. Cheetarah didn’t just appear out of nowhere, though honestly with her fluff level she could easily pass for a magical creature. She’s part of our Thundercats litter—around 6 weeks old, she is a Great Pyrenees weighing in at a whopping 7 pounds of pure attitude wrapped in cotton candy fur. She and her siblings came to us when they were barely a week old after their owner could no longer care for them or their mom, Kotten, due to health issues. Mama Kotten herself was in pretty rough shape when she arrived, but despite it all, she has pulled off the “Supermom of the Year” award without even breaking a sweat. Thanks to her, Cheetarah and her littermates have thrived and are now ready to trade in milk mustaches for happily ever afters. Cheetarah hasn’t exactly been living in a bubble. She’s mingled with dogs, cats, and even the tiny humans—and she’s handling it all like a seasoned pro. Dogs are instant playmates, cats are mysterious little ninjas to be studied (or pounced on, depending on mood), and kids? Walking snack dispensers who also double as entertainment. Basically, she’s already had the crash course in “family life” and is ready to bring her social butterfly skills straight into her forever home. Cheetarah hums along at about a 6 or 7 on the puppy-energy scale—enough to keep life interesting without requiring an endless supply of energy drinks to keep up. She’s the ringleader of her Thundercats crew, always the first to explore a new corner or charm a new friend. If you spot a little fluffball venturing off on her own with confidence written all over her tiny face, odds are it’s her. She’s a perfect balance of soft and spunky: a cuddly baby who will fall asleep in your arms, and a playful spark who tugs on tails to get the party started. Smart, adventurous, and already catching on to potty training, Cheetarah is a little Miss Independent with just enough sweetness to remind you that behind all that boldness is a heart of gold. If you’re looking for a puppy who arrives fully programmed with factory settings like “sit,” “stay,” and “walk politely on a leash,” let me stop you right there—Cheetarah is not Amazon Prime with free two-day delivery on manners. She’s a puppy, which means she comes as a build-your-own-adventure kit. Her future family is signing up for the full package deal: socializing her so she doesn’t think the mailman is an alien invader, teaching her that potty happens outside (not wherever the mood strikes), leash training so walks don’t resemble a scene from Fast & Furious: Sidewalk Drift, and puppy-proofing your house unless you want her to “redecorate” with her curious little paws. The good news? She’s ridiculously smart, affectionate, and has that irresistible puppy charm that makes every bit of effort worth it. With consistency, patience, and maybe a sense of humor, you’ll be rewarded with a lifelong best friend who thinks you hung the moon. So here’s the deal: Cheetarah is fluffy, cuddly, bold, and basically running the tiny circus that is her litter. She’s the kind of puppy who will both melt in your arms and convince you that she should be in charge of your household Wi-Fi password. She’s smart, fearless, and already showing off that future Pyr-itude in the most adorable ways. Now, before you run to the comments section and type “I want!!!” like this is some kind of Black Friday doorbuster—pause. That’s not how this works. You’ve got to fill out an actual adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app (yes, paperwork… sorry, we don’t just hand out puppies like free samples at Costco). Once approved, we’ll send your info to her foster family, and then you can start planning your road trip to Claremore, OK to scoop her up. One last detail—Cheetarah can’t officially leave until the beginning of October. Consider it her diva move: making her fans wait just a little longer for the grand release of “Happily Ever After: The Fluffy Edition.”
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cheetarah, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
