My story

Brief Bio:Mama cat is a friendly girl who will purr when you pet her and make figure eights around your legs to ask for attention. She is very young and acts it. She is often to be found playing chase with her babies and running amok. She also enjoys naps on the big bed, If she isn`t napping on the big bed she will find herself a quiet cubby to chill in. She truly is a good cat! She was the easiest Mama we have ever fostered.Summary of Personality: Mama is friendly and independent. She tends to be quiet as the only time we heard her `talk` was a morning when our son forgot to feed the cats before he left for school and the bowl was completely empty. I immediately knew something must be wrong since we had never hears her voice until that day. She has a gentle purr and only uses it when she is being held. She is a bit hesitant around new sounds and down right skittish when confronted by loud noises.Home Life (experience with kids & other pets, etc): Our home has given mama an opportunity to experience many situations she might encounter in other homes. She was fine being played with by a young child who was visiting as easily as she was by our 16 yo son. She tolerates our dogs but was not interested in making friends. She would walk on the back of the couch where the dogs were relaxing but Hissed and got puffy when they came into her space looking for tasty and forbidden foods. Any time she was confronted width an uncomfortable situation her typical response was to retreat back to her quiet cubby. The only draw back to this sweet, friendly lady is that she did not like our resident female cat. She would claim her space on the big bed and chase our cat away, hissing. We are not sure if this means she would not fit into a home that has cats already or if she would just need to establish her place in the pecking order.Include any observations: Mama is litter box trained. She will wait until the box is cleaned to have her morning constitutional and is reluctant to go if the box is overfull. In a small space with her 4 growing babies all sharing 2 litter boxes mama was tested on occasion and definitely prefers a clean box.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt MAMA CAT, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
