My story

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: MostlyRory is a sweet, gentle pup with a quiet soul and a heart full of love. She is shy at first and may take time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her affectionate and loyal personality starts to shine. Rory would thrive in a calm home with patient humans who are willing to let her build trust at her own pace. She loves peaceful walks, soft voices, and being part of a gentle daily routine. She lives happily with several other dogs and enjoys playing in the yard with them throughout the day. Rory is comfortable around new dogs with slow introductions and tends to come out of her shell quickly once she knows she is safe. She has been around dog-savvy cats without issue and does not show interest in chasing them. Rory has been great with older children and does especially well with calm, respectful kids who give her space and time to approach on her terms.Rory is crate trained and is crated for about five to six hours during the day. She is doing well with house training and has not had accidents in the home since her initial adjustment. She walks well on leash and enjoys daily outings, often joining her foster's grandsons on walks. She is food-motivated and has excellent manners during feeding and treat time, waiting her turn without guarding or pushing in.This kind-hearted pup is looking for a home where she can feel safe and loved. With time, she will blossom into a devoted companion. Could Rory be the gentle soul you’ve been waiting for? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.
