My story

Rooni is located in Waterloo DOB: June 14, 2018 Rooni is shy around strangers, but once she has adjusted to her new home, she is a very sweet girl who is eager to spend time and interact with you. She will follow you around the house and chatter to you the whole time. She loves to lie on your chest when you are lying down or napping too. Rooni is very playful and loves chasing toys that you throw for her. Her favourite toys are puff balls, and sticks with long string or feathers on them. Rooni’s very comfortable with kind dogs and cats her own age. Though she is good with cats her own age, she does not get along with senior kitties (they refuse to play with her!). History: Rooni's first family surrendered her because she was not getting along with their senior cat. She was surrendered to the Toronto Cat Rescue where we fostered her until she was rehomed to a lovely gentleman who took very good care of her. Unfortunately for health reasons he was forced to surrender her again as he could no longer care for her. We immediately agreed to foster her again and are hoping to find her a home that she will spend the rest of her life in. While Rooni has a wonderful temperament, she should not be placed in a home with cats that are older than her by more than a year or two. Specifically no senior cats. (She is fine with cats her own age and gets along well with her feline foster brother of the same age very well.) The ideal home for Rooni would be a quiet home with a family or couple that is willing to play with her and spend lots of time with her. She is very social with her people and thrives on this interaction. Special note from the foster family: Rooni is an incredibly sweet girl who has a lot of love to give. She's got a sassy side that will make you laugh, loves to play and is an excellent companion.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rooni, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
