My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:2Meet Oliver, a fun-loving 1-year-old, 63-pound lab and shepherd mix with a heart full of enthusiasm and a body built for play! Oliver is a great mix of independent and affectionate. He enjoys playing fetch and is more than happy to bring the ball back to your feet, though he's just as content to wander off for a sniff if the game slows down. Oliver is a social guy who loves other dogs and plays with a relaxed body language and a lot of chase-style fun. He’d thrive in a home with well-matched dog friends, or he’d be just as happy as your solo companion soaking up all your attention. While he’s still working on his manners (he’s a bit jumpy when excited!), Oliver is eager to please and already knows how to "sit" for a tasty treat. He’s got a sweet, playful spirit and would do best in a home where he can get plenty of exercise, structure, and love.
