My story

Meet Rico Rico’s story began in a managed feral colony, lovingly cared for by a kind woman. When she had to move into assisted living, most of her cats were already fixed... except Rico. He was the last one. She tried to surrender him to the humane society, but they refused to take him in. That day, I couldn’t stand the thought of him being turned back out to the streets — left to struggle and bring more kittens into an already overwhelmed area. So I took him in. Today, Rico is no longer that scrappy colony cat. He’s learned that people can be safe, and even kind. His former caregiver still checks in on him, a reminder of the bond he’s always had with those who cared. Rico is ready for a forever home where he’ll never have to worry about being left behind again. ##2522043##
