My story

Hi, my name is Brownie, and I am a pretty 1-year-old, 59 lb Lab/Pit Bull mix, with a sweet personality. I was one of 4 puppies abandoned with our mama on the side of a rural road just outside San Antonio, Texas. A nice lady was feeding us, but our mama wouldn't let us get close. As winter approached, a rescue set up a trap, and we were finally safe. Many months later, we are all doing well, but I’m doing great! Other than being just a bit shy at first meetings, I’m sweet and friendly, wagging and happy, and ready to find a forever family. My foster mom says I’m a medium energy girl, full of love and playfulness. I am friendly with cats and dogs, and am excited to play with dog toys and chews. I love walks and car rides and snuggling up beside you on the couch while we watch TV, and if you don't mind 42 lbs in your lap, then I’m a lap dog! I rarely bark, I’m housebroken, I don't chew your things, don't guard my food or toys, and have no separation anxiety. I’m just a good girl, sweet, gentle, affectionate, and dreaming of being someone's forever dog. East Coast families, inquire about me today, and let's get this party started! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.
