In today's episode of the Young and the Elder, we introduce Gramps! 🎼🎵 Gramps might not be a spring chicken, but he has... Wisdom! Glorious silver threaded fur...all natural! Spunk (for shorter periods of time)! Good genes! Gramps is currently our eldest resident at 12 years young! Gramps is some sort of terrier mix...maybe Jack Russell or rat terrier. It doesn't really matter, because he's awesome. More about Gramps: 👴 Weighs about 30 lbs - which is important because he needs a boost into cars and if you have steps, he will need a lift or a ramp. 👴 Fully vetted and his bloodwork was amazing! He has arthritis which is being managed by a maintenance med. He's fixed and just had a dental last week! Did great. 👴 Gramps has a cataract so he has limited vision in one eye. Rest assured, it doesn't slow down his exploring (which happens more at a relaxed, slow pace than a sprint). 👴 He probably is hard of hearing in one ear. Except maybe when you have treats for his snuffle mat. He may decide to hear you then. 👴 Dog friendly! He enjoys cuddling with other dogs that are more his speed. And by speed we mean 5-10 mph versus 75 mph. 👴 We have him on a strict diet as we figure out the best diet for his tummy. 👴 Enjoys toys and definitely chewing his bones! 👴 Requests a "fluffy pillow outside in the sun 🌞" (Gramps' words, not ours) 👴 Loves fluffy beds (see above request) If you're interested in Gramps, complete an adoption application via computer on our website: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html AND email therescueinn@gmail.com!
