My story

Meet Buddy! An an energetic 2 year old little chiweenie guy that found himself surrendered to one of our shelter partners! They called, we answered quickly to get this little guy into our rescue! Buddy possesses what his foster mom so aptly refers to as "YBE" - young buck energy!Highlights about Buddy:He gets along GREAT with other dogs!LOVES the outdoors!Could double as a paper shredder (the downside is once he has it in his mouth, getting it away is near impossible as he will guard it from you)!Gives the BEST hugs!Is mostly housetrained (though he did mark for the first several days in his foster home)!Cuddle-bug (we did say he gives the best hugs)!He likes to bound onto the sofa like Tigger in Winnie the Pooh -- then leans in hard to get super close!Where Buddy could use structure:Continued work on his house and crate trainingLearning "drop it" or "give it" and trading up for a treat when he has something he should not have (this is working for his foster mom -- but because of that YBE he has -- he needs reinforcement because he is often finding treasures that he values but should not have)Buddy has been neutered, vaccinated and is heartworm negative!
