My story

HOW TO ADOPT: This animal is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- Very sweet and snuggly - Can be a little timid at first, but will be your bestie once she opens up - Loves to play, then will be your snuggly buddy when she's done! - Does well staying home alone in her play pen - Foster family says she is getting very close to being potty trained; may have an accident or two when home alone during the day for 8+ hours - Sleeps through the night in her foster family's bed and has never had an accident overnight - Has done some work on crate training - Loved playing with other dogs in her foster home - Has gotten along with children in her foster home - May have exercise induced collapse, a genetic condition triggered by exercise that affects a dog's back limbs; the condition is lifelong but has a good prognosis for a normal life if strenuous/high-endurance exercise is avoided (more info at ARL) All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed.
