Tiny Maggie

My story

We received a call from Rosalie a very nice older lady who needed some help. She rescued a tiny kitten a few months back and now unfortunately she can't take care of her for health and financial reasons. This is Maggie's story: On Mother's Day, while out for a walk to lift my spirits, I came across what looked like a tiny 'ball of fur' hidden in the bushes near a pond. To my surprise, it was a kitten - no bigger than my fist. She looked as though she had just been weaned, left behind to fend for herself. With the help of kind neighbors, we set up a safe space for her. My neighbor Marta picked her up and lovingly gave her a name before we even checked her gender: Maggie. From that moment on, Maggie captured all of our hearts. She was so smart - when I called her name, she came running to me right away! We nursed her carefully with soft food, tuna, and even coconut milk until she grew stronger. Over the months, Maggie blossomed into a beautiful young cat. With her fluffy coat, white paws, and tail, she may even be part Maine Coon. She loves to explore, go on little walks with a leash, and be part of her community — everyone in our building has fallen in love with her. Now, at a year and a half old, Maggie is still young and full of life. Unfortunately, at 78, my travels to visit family and the costs of her care have made it difficult for me to keep her. I want to find Maggie a loving forever home while she’s still young, where she will be cherished as much as she deserves. I will gladly provide some of her supplies — collars, leashes, and even her favorite tuna — to help her settle into her new home.
