My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I can go home today!I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I am a sweet, social, older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home!My purr motor is always running!Upon first being approached, Sandy avoids contact, moving to the opposite kennel as the assessor opens his door, pupils dilated and lip licking. After about 2 minutes of soft talking he is able to be coaxed to come to the front of the kennel, slowly approaching the assessor. Sandy allows all petting and handling, leaning into petting and head bunting the assessor's hands. He is able to be easily picked up, remaining calm when he is held and placed back down.Sandy interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with an average amount of cat experience and who demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.
