My story

Are you a hot mess? Do you need someone to take control of your life? And maybe, be a little spicy about it? This is Guinevere, or Gwinny, or Gwinnifer, you know, whatever. She's pretty much in charge in the office right now, she tells us when it's time to stand up and take her out, when it's time for breakfast, when it's time for dinner and when it's time to give her the ball.. she loves the ball, but she doesn't want to actually play with you.. she just wants you to watch while she plays with it. And that's cool. She came to us affected by Lyme disease but was treated for it, more from Dr. Guevara below. She's housetrained, but not too keen on other dogs, she'll tolerate them on walks and even in the same yard as her but if they get in her face booooy, no thank you sir. She will put them in their PLACE. She let's you know when she's done being touched, she gets still, her head turns to the side, and if you ignore all the signs, she will give your hand a warning bark so PAY ATTENTION. We feel like she lived with a single person who was maybe hard of hearing (that may be projection), but she definitely lets us know when strangers are about! So if you need an officer manager who likes it spicy, come talk to us about Gwinny, we love her. 125$ From Dr. Guevara: Congratulations on adopting Guenevere into your family! While she was at the shelter, she was tested for heartworm disease and several tick-borne diseases. She tested positive for Lyme antibodies, which indicates that at some point in her life, she was exposed to Lyme disease and mounted an immune response. Guenevere was treated with Doxycycline for a full 30 days, during which she only exhibited mild clinical signs. It's important to note that since most clinics test for antibodies, she will likely test positive again in the future. We recommend pursuing titer testing and treatment if you have visited a Lyme-endemic area, have had a lapse in flea/tick control, or if she begins to show any clinical signs. For more information on Lyme disease, please use the following links. https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/pet-owners/petcare/lyme-disease-dogs https://www.lymedisease.org/lymepolicywonk-canine-maps-cdc/ https://capcvet.org/guidelines/lyme-disease/ capcvet.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Guinevere, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
