Meet Thelma – A Special Heart with So Much Love to Give! Thelma is a 2-year-old sweetheart with a truly remarkable story. She was born with a congenital heart condition—a hole between the two sides of her heart and a narrowing where blood flows to her lungs. Amazingly, these two conditions balance each other, allowing her to live a healthy and active life. Right now, Thelma doesn’t require medication, though she may in the future. What she does need is a family who can commit to yearly visits to the cardiologist to monitor her heart.
