My story

We adopted Violet with another cat, a similarly aged Gray Tabby. They said she was a male, approximately 1 year old and from a shelter in Missouri. Our preference was two male cats, and we found she was female when we took her to the vet for her first appointment. This was 4 years ago and we have cared for her and enjoyed her in the home since. That being said, not sure she is happy here with the other cat, female dog and 2 kids. She is skittish - typical to female orange tabbys - often hides for days and gets startled or annoyed by the other animals or kids. She is also very playful, her favorite toy is a round ball track that she spins and spins for long sessions (we love hearing it and watching her.) She is litter box trained, but has peed on the dogs bed and toys (thrown out and replaced). A friend observed her with our gray tabby and also wondered if she would prefer being an only cat. She is very snuggly and appreciates a slow pace and quiet.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Violet, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
