My story

Miss E is a 3-year-old, 56-pound Heeler mix with a heart of gold and a gentle spirit. She may be shy at first, but once she warms up, you’ll see just how sweet, loyal, and amazing she truly is. In her foster home, Miss E lives with large dogs—both male and female—and once she’s comfortable, she enjoys playing with them. She’s also great with kids and loves being part of family life. Miss E is fully house trained and currently goes outside to potty in a fenced yard, where she enjoys a little exploring before heading back in. True to her Heeler roots, Miss E is happiest when she’s right by your side—especially if you’re working outdoors. She’s your shadow in the best way, following along and flopping over for belly rubs whenever you take a break. Miss E is a devoted companion who just needs a little time to show her big, loving heart. Once she does, she’ll be your loyal partner for life. 💛 If you’re looking for a sweet, steady, and loyal friend, Miss E would love to meet you! Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
