My story

*Special needs-calicivirus survivor*Meet Tempurrra, our brave little lone wolf!  She had a tough start to life, found all alone and scared as a tiny baby, so it will take her a bit to warm up to new people and places. Patience and a calm environment are key to helping her feel safe! Once she trusts you, she’s a total sweetheart who loves to loaf, nap, and quietly enjoy your company.  Since joining her foster family (a mama cat and six kittens!), Tempurrra has learned how to play and be a kitten again. She’s still shy, but you can see her confidence growing every day. Tempurrra has a chronic respiratory disease called Calicivirus and can flare up. Tempurrra is completely capable of living a very normal life. It is suggested she be the only cat in the house unless you have cats with the same respiratory disease since it is contagious to other kitties. For more information there is literature attached in the documents that is more thorough about the disease.  Finders Keepers Cat Rescue is a foster home-based rescue in Clarksville, TN, and our cats are in private foster homes in the Clarksville area. Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or have another cat already in the home. An adoption application is required to meet our kitties. Once your application is reviewed and upon approval, we will then provide the information to schedule a meet and greet with their foster.   We are a 100% volunteer run organization and have varying hours, as our volunteers work during the day, our goal is to process adoption applications within 24-72 hours, please be patient with us!
